Most experts are predicting prices will continue to increase moderately while mortgage rates should decrease slightly over the next 12 months. Inventory has improved over the pandemic "unicorn" years. Are You Unsure If You Should Make The Move?
Our best advise is this: If you have a life event driving your decision, obviously you need to do what's necessary. If it's a lifestyle change you desire and plan to stay in your home for at least 5 years, DON'T WAIT - BUY NOW. Once interest rates on mortgages starts to creep to 6%, the competition is going to heat up. If the rate gets into the 5% range, inventory will be reduced quickly and prices will spike again due to bidding wars. (one benefit of a new construction home...no bidding wars!)
